Tech Plans

Each school site maintains a site-based educational technology plan facilitated by the site technology lead teacher. The site technology plans, with input from parents and other stakeholders, inform the writing of the district's Master Educational Technology Plan (METP). The Master Educational Technology Plan can be found within Technology Support Services

Educational Technology Vision

Claremont Unified School District realizes that the ability to effectively use technology is essential for success in the world today. To meet this reality, CUSD will provide safe and equitable access to digital tools as an integral part of the learning and work environment.

Accordingly, students and staff will use technology to:

  • Access and evaluate a variety of informational resources

  • Contribute to society as responsible digital citizens

  • Extend learning beyond the classroom and workplace

  • Communicate and collaborate

  • Inspire creativity, productivity and innovation

  • Explore content in engaging ways

Educational Technology Mission

The Educational Technology team believes the best teaching and learning comes at the intersection of tools, strategies and content (TPACK) while being ever mindful of why and how technology is used (SAMR).

Ed Tech and Tech Support Services

Educational Technology focuses on the "how and why" instructional uses of technology, while Technology Support Services focuses on the "nuts and bolts" of infrastructure and maintenance. Both Educational Technology and Technology Support Services work together under Educational Services to ensure faculty, staff, students and parents have reliable and effective experiences using technology to transform teaching and learning.
