David S. Nemer is a retired Math teacher who was elected to the CUSD Board of Education in 2013. He worked for Claremont Unified School District in various capacities for over 30 years, teaching at San Antonio High School, Claremont Community Day School, and Claremont High School. Dave also served as Administrative Designee, and in leadership roles on site and district committees, including the CUSD Benefits Committee, the CHS Planning Committee, and the District Advisory Committee. Dave was an active member of Claremont Faculty Association and served on the CFA Executive Board for ten years.
In addition to his work with CUSD, Dave has been a member of the League of Woman Voters for many years, and has held various leadership positions. He was a founding member of EdNet. For five years in the 1980s Dave worked as a registered stockbroker. Dave has also participated in local political commentary via public speaking and numerous letters to the editor.
Dave was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has degrees in Psychology from Northwestern University and Claremont Graduate School. Dave and his wife Ann have two adult children who attended Claremont schools and graduated from CHS in the 1990s.
